Award Kitchen Refacers is one of the premier kitchen refacing companies in the Greater Toronto Area, and a large percentage of Award's customers utilize their cost-saving kitchen refacing services after visiting the website.
Web Design Needs
Award Kitchen Refacers contacted me in September, 2005. They were looking for a simple website to be developed in time to be used in conjunction with their offline marketing campaign, which was to begin at the National Home Show in Toronto at the beginning of October, 2005.
How I Met Those Needs
Logo
I first created a logo based on pencil and paper sketches the client provided me.
Website Design
I created a layout for the website, also based on paper and pencil sketches provided by the client.
Database Development
The Materials and Dreams sections are generated from a database, allowing for quick and easy updates to these sections.
Website Promotion
I am responsible for the online promotion of the Award website.
Successes
In a minimal amount of time, I was able to design and develop a website, logo and business card design from a series of sketches, photographs and text descriptions provided by the client. I was also able to structure the site in such a way as to allow for the ongoing growth of, and improvements to, the site over the course of time.
